Delete your account and your data.

You can remove your FriendsBill account and everything tied to it at any time. Here's how.

Delete it yourself, in the app

The fastest way — no email, no waiting:

  1. Open FriendsBill and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

The same option is available in the web app at app.friendsbill.com/profile once you're signed in. The account and its data are removed immediately.

Prefer to request it by email?

If you can't sign in, email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes:

  • Your email address, display name, and any Venmo username you added.
  • Any linked sign-in methods — passkeys, and Google/Apple/Microsoft connections.
  • The bills you created, including their items, slot labels, claims, tax/tip and service charges, and their receipt photos.
  • Share links to your bills stop resolving immediately.

What we keep, briefly

We may retain a limited set of records after deletion only where the law requires it or to prevent fraud and abuse — for example, minimal transaction or security logs. These are kept no longer than needed and are not used to rebuild your account. Standard server request logs (IP, path, timestamp) age out on their normal short-term schedule.
